Pinocchio Gameplay & Symbols
With the majority of 3D slot machines produced by Betsoft Gaming containing 5 reels and 30 paylines, we were surprised that Pinocchio is a 5 reel, 15 payline slot machine. The coin values to choose from are $0.02, $0.05, $0.10, $0.25, $0.50, and $1. Between one and five coins can be bet on each payline, which means all paylines can be played for a minimum of $1.50, while the maximum amount Pinocchio can be played for is $75 per spin.
The symbols in Pinocchio are stunning – so crisp and detailed. There are different modes in Pinocchio (more on this in the bonus features, but it’s a little like Betsoft’s WhoSpunIt slot) and some of the symbols reward varying amounts depending on the mode in action, but we will try to explain all of the symbols as best as possible. In the Workshop primary world the Geppetto symbol acts as a Scatter on reels one, three and five. In the Classroom secondary world the Books symbol acts as a Scatter on reels one, three and five. In the Stage secondary world the Wagon symbol acts as a Scatter on reels one, three and five. When these Scatters trigger on specific positions they trigger Wild Scrolls, and even Reels. There are Pinocchio and ‘Real Boy’ symbols, with both being worth the same value – 500 coins should you land five on a payline. The other symbols which feature are Pinocchio in a cage, a Great Stromboli Marionette Show poster, wooden plane (woodwork tool), wooden clock, and the standard Ace to 10 playing card symbols also feature.
Pinocchio Bonus Features
Double Up: The double up option is now a standard feature amongst Betsoft Gaming’s 3D slot machines. This time players have the oppotunity to guess Heads or Tails on a golden coin, with Pinocchio’s face being Heads and a wooden trunk being Tails. Guess correctly to double your money and continue to do so until you choose incorrectly, or decide to click the collect button.
Three Unique Worlds: The most exciting aspect of Pinocchio is the changing worlds feature which sees the appearance of the game change. The primary world which all players begin on is Gepetto’s Workshop, and each world offers special incentives, as follows.
Geppetto’s Workshop – This world is the primary world and it sees Stage and Classroom meters on the reels (required to activate the secondary worlds). Each time a Geppetto symbol lands on reel three it will activate the Wild Scroll feature which moves from right to left, respinning each reel along the way – plus more than one can be triggered at once!
Pinocchio’s Classroom – This is one of the two secondary worlds and it is activated when the Classroom meter is full, which is achieved by accumulating ten Books symbols, which land on reels two and four. Players are rewarded with eight free spins, with the counter only going down when a spin doesn’t result in a win, but when it gets to zero players go back to primary world in the Workshop. When a Book symbol appears on reel one, three or five it triggers the Wild Scroll feature which sees the Wild move down the reel and activate a respin each time.
The Puppet Show – This is the other secondary world and it is activated when the Stage meter is full, which is achieved by accumulating ten Wagon symbols, which land on reels two and four. Players are rewarded with eight free spins, with the counter only going down when a spin doesn’t result in a win, but when it gets to zero players go back to primary world in the Workshop. When a Wagon symbol appears on the middle reel it triggers Wild Scroll Wild Reel which sees the whole reel turn Wild for five respins.
Real Boy Mode: The slot begins with players in ‘Wood Boy’ mode, however ‘Real Boy’ mode can be activated at any stage of the slot by collecting 5 Real Boy symbols as you play. When this happens all ‘Wood Boy’ symbols will instead become ‘Real Boy’ symbols instead and they act as Wilds for all symbols except for the three Scatters – Gepetto, Books and Wagon.
Fairy Awesome Respins: Should players be denied a 5x combination win due to the symbols which landed on reel one, three or five, an animated Fairy will appear and respin the reel. This generous feature offers players another opportunity to lock in a win.
