Situated in a bamboo forest, the slot design is excellent and the 3D icons really stand out on the neutral green and white background. The main icons are five samurai warriors, all different in fighting style and appearance. The warriors are action based portraits that pulse outwards and perform a unique action move when you hit them. The rest of the symbols are bamboo entwined numbers (A, K, Q, J and 10).
You’ll also find a stacked wild icon which is an impressive reel sized portrait of an old menacing wizard. He is quite scary and it seems the other samurai are on a quest to defeat him and his sorcerous ways. This means he acts as a wild icon on one to three rows.
The sounds in Thunderfist are pretty good and the ambient sound track is quite peaceful. It puts you in an old village with the sounds of a bamboo creaking, birds chirping, and wind blowing. The slot sounds are more action packed and really set the tempo for a slot that has some awesome animations and features.
