Calm down! This slot is neither about … specialist movies, nor chess, for that matter. It’s a 2015 release from Bally Technologies, and has thirty pay lines and five reels. It is themed around the US’s number one reality TV cable show of the same name. Appropriately filmed in Las Vegas, this show enlightens the world to the daily goings-on at the ‘World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop’.
The programme follow the unlikely premise of customers bringing in items to the shop, and their reactions upon being told how valuable or worthless their prize possessions are. It has made stars of the four people who run the shop, and the … unique … way in which they go about their business.

Pawn Stars Gameplay and Symbols
All four TV stars feature on the reels. These are the owner of the business Richard ‘Old Man’ Harrison, his son Rick, his grandson Corey or ‘Big Hoss’, and Corey’s childhood friend Austin ‘Chumlee’ Russell. These pleasant chaps are joined on the reels by playing card values ten to ace, and a number of bonus symbols.
There are thirty pay lines in total, and that number is fixed. You can select your coin size though, from 0.01 to 15.00. Your bet-per-spin is your coin size is multiplied by thirty, giving you an array of possible wagers from 0.30 to 450.00.
There are plenty of pay outs available, and to win one you simply need to land three identical symbols in sequence on one of your active pay lines, from the left hand reel onwards.
Payouts start from 3x your bet-per-line for three tens, jacks or queens, to the jackpot of 500x for five of the ‘History Channel’ logo. You can win payouts for sequences involving the same ‘pawn star’, or a sequence that contains any mix of them.
When you are happy with your settings, hit the spin button. You will be entertained by the show’s theme tune as the reels do their business.
Pawn Stars Bonus Features
Stacked Wild Symbol: The ‘Pawn Stars’ logo acts as the wild symbol in this game, and is stacked three symbols high. The wild symbol substitutes for all other symbols aside from the two scatter symbols (see below). The wilds only appear on the central three reels, and in free games all wins containing a wild are doubled.
Pawn Bonus Scatter Symbol: This scatter symbol only appears on the central three reels. If you land at least three of them anywhere on the reels, then you are through to the Pawn Bonus Game.
Free Games Scatter Symbol: This scatter symbol only appears on the two outside and central reels. If you land at least three of them, you are awarded a prize worth double your stake, and ten free spins. There are no scatter symbols during free spins, and so free spins cannot be re-triggered.
Pawn Stars Bonus Game: When you enter this game, you get to choose from half a dozen items that are available to be pawned. Once you’ve made your selection, one of the Pawn Star boys will appear and make you an offer. You can accept, or decline. Your second offer may be greater or smaller than your original offer and cannot be declined, so think carefully!
Pawn Stars Conclusion
When you see the chaps featured in this game (and the hit cable TV show) you’ll be thankful that they are ‘pawn’ stars and not stars of the other, homophonic nature.
Other than that, this game is great fun, even if you have never even heard of the TV show. Gameplay is fast and entertaining, and the real excitement comes when you are awarded free spins or when you enter the bonus game.
This is one online slot you really need to try for yourself. It’s also probably the only time you’ll ever get the chance to rub shoulders with some genuine pawn stars!
